HI ALL,

Hubby got approved for sponsorship July 23. I got my Client Number. The paperwork is in-route to Port of Spain Embassy, Trinidad.

2 Questions:
1. Is my hubby's part of the application also flown with my part to Trinidad or does he get this back at a later date from Mississigua.

2. On the forms, under additional information, we indicated that we were going on holidays for the next two weeks.

I am now wondering as I have my client number, IF i should now send this new information as proof of our ongoing relationship after marriage or IF i should hold my horses and wait and see if they request and then send.

The thing is, I want this process to go as quickly as possible and I do not want to wait on a response from them, BUT i am also wondering if i send this information next week, whether this will cause an additional delay on my application in terms of months which I have heard some people.

I have a feel because we indicated that we wanted to go on this holiday, that they will request this information, my only concern is, whether to send it now or send it if they request and whether sending it now before a request will slow down the process or it wont be a problem.

Thanks and have a good nite!

very good question. YES you can and u should send more evidences.it shows and proves ur genuine relationshiop.

froget to metnion in my last mesage. u people will get all ur files papers back after u have also been approved.
its better if the SPONSOR sends all new proofs and evidence to the embassy in Trinidiad including ur file number and his client number

You do not need to send any additional evidence unless they ask for it. It might throw things off a little. I too have a trip coming up next week to visit my husband in Canada and I included the itinerary in my application. They will only ask you for it if they feel it will weigh heavily on your application. For now, sit back and relax! I wish you all good luck.

I would wait until POS assigns a "B" file number to your application. It's a BXX XXX XXXX number.

Gather all the evidence and once you review that B number you can send it all off to POS.

everyone has opinion.
i went throuh same and we sent all new proofs togeher during my third visit. i sent it using priority service.

I think it would weigh heavily, as his family except sister were unable to come to the wedding and this trip to his home was to meet finally his side of the family and go to his sister's wedding.

We actually thought that hubby would get back his part of his application after approval, basically what he submitted is what i submitted in terms of photos etc. So they get everything basically twice!

W.R.T. this B number, how long does it take to get it from POS?

I don't think two weeks will make a big difference. I mean, I don't know how fast Port of Spain is, but seems to me that they probably won't even open the package from CPC-M in two weeks. Maybe by the end of the two weeks, but still maybe not. I would wait a bit. But then, I would wait to see if they request additional information, unless you truly feel like this is really lacking in your application.

Does Port of Spain tend to send AOR? I would wait for that, and the barcodes they send etc, before sending any additional information, if you really feel that you must do so.

will take approx 3 weeks to u get Bxxxxxxxxxx number.
but the sponsor can log into the ECAS already and see ur status to.

take my advice and send in ur new proofs because that shows LOVE and intentions. we send it too and they liked it.

what office did you sent your application to joe?

POS assigns the B number to your file once they issue the AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) letter which is usually sent out 3 months after the application has been sent to the office.

They do send their AOR letters out. I have come across a few that have received theirs. You also have to keep in mind too that POS is probably going to go into backlog since they are upgrading their system. Lastly, I would stick within normal processing of the office and then inquire or send more information if that time has passed.

The more you keep sending them info, the more they have to keep pulling out your file which they can sometime and most times they do put to the bottom of the pile up.

Therefore, back to my last comment of gathering all the information as additional proof and once you feel the time is right, send it all off. I am very certain that you have included a ton of evidence in your original package which the IO will use at that time to make an unofficial decision whether or not you will need to be interviewed.

Joe did you send your information before or after the B number was assigned.
