So we have gotton our AOR letter dated September 16, 2010. The contents indicated that our application was received by the local embassy on August 10, 2010. I have an ID No. B XXXXXXXXX.

Why can I not log on?!!!!

AND even when we use Hubby's information with the Receipt No., all it says is the info from when his sponsorship approval was made.

Second question then, whatever change is made on my account does the hubby also see it when he logs on using his receipt no and details?

Or he will never see my information being updated unless we use the ID No and my details.

I am trying to figure out multiple ways to check this thing. And I am hoping that they update his account as well.

Or can we do a mixture...use the receipt no. and my details etc. I don't know what to do! I check his accountall the time but there is no change. When I check my account all it says is that the system can't find me..I don't exist.. :'(

Matthew C any advise?

Hi Honeybird,

When they update information you can each see it using your unique information.

We had trouble in the beginning and I couldn't log onto eCAS, (from Canada) as it turned out, I was putting UK in my country of birth instead of England. So a tiny piece of info difference can prevent you from getting in.

Once CIC Miss. sends you the acknowledgement letter, they give you an 8 digit client number. Try using that. For the person overseas, they give you an immigration file number. Seems silly to me not to use the same reference...but hey what can we do??

Good luck

It sounds like the overseas embassy has just not entered your information into the computer yet. No reason to panic. Once they do, there will be a link on your husband's page that goes to the information about your processing. But don't expect too much - typically the only information the overseas embassies put into eCAS is "Medicals Received" and "In Process". Eventually it will also say, "Decision Made" - but there won't be any indication what the decision was. If they write to you and ask for more information - or if they request an interview - none of that info will be entered into eCAS. So it's not like you can follow along and know exactly where they are with your case.

The only way to get any details about your processing is to order your CAIPS notes - but that really isn't necessary unless you go beyond the normal processing timelines. This process is a waiting game . . . the best thing you can do for yourself is know how long your embassy typically takes to finalize aps and just expect to wait that long with no real communication from them. Having realistic expectations - and not comparing your processing to what other people experience - makes it a little easier to be patient.

I am fed up.
I just need some news to keep me going! :(
