If you already have a Graduation degree, then definitely YES, you can apply for PR once you complete your education in Ontario. Otherwise, choose Manitoba or Saskatchewan for Student Visa

Thank you for the reply :). Unfortunately I don’t have a University degree. Just a high school degree. Can i file for PR in Manitoba if i decide to pursue of diploma in a good school there? any chances of being allowed to work while schooling ? Will love your reply :)

Yes in Manitoba or Saskatchewan, there are changes. However you should land for a 2 year program, instead of just one.

Really appreciate your replies. I will take your advice on that. Finally can i apply for canadian citizenship after spending up to three years in canada after concluding the diploma program with a PR ?

Yes, after PR and living for 3 years in Canada, you can apply for citizenship.

Dear i have a query please
If i immigrate to Canada as Newcomer, i do have local high school and BA,
I wish to work as a teacher and i am willing to re learn in a university or else to be qualified as a teacher since it is a regulated profession.

Now what should i do or consider to enrol in such program

For example
IELTS AC
Document by document evaluation
...

Noting it would be much easier to follow up on such requirements from home before i move i mean

Kindly advise
Thx

If you want to be a teacher in Canada, you need a B.Ed. Not every school has a teacher’s college and it is highly competitive. After graduation, you apply for licensing for the province you plan to teach in.

You will need B.Ed to teach in a Canadian school. If you are landing as a PR, then definitely you can enroll in this program. Almost all universities offer B.Ed programs. Its a 2 year program if you already have a Graduation or Post Graduation.

once you complete B.Ed, have to apply to local Education office for a Certification/License. Once you get License, then you can apply for jobs.

Just to clarify there is no local education office. You must be licensed in the province you intend to work. So if you are in Ontario, you are licensed through the Ontario College of Teachers. Once licensed, you then approach and apply to school boards.

Thank you for explaining... Yes I meant local "provincial" Education licensing authority. I have done the procedure for my family members in Manitoba...

You will likely have to work for a year in a NOC 0, A or B to qualify to apply for PR.

Not all universities have “teacher’s colleges”. Each province has a limited number of universities where you can do teacher training.

Do you qualify to immigrate? That is your first hurdle.
