Hi
I have couple of questions about getting Canadian study permit. Please help me.
I have been to US in jan 2007 on student visa and completed one semester successfully. then i changed my status to work visa and started working from Oct 2007. Continued working til August 2009. Now I returned back to my home country India as I got married.
I want to go to Canada now to do my PG Diploma.

Following are my concerns about the visa -

1. Will their be any query with visa processing since I discontinued education in US.

2. Is my American Experience an additional advantage for getting the Canadian Study Visa. I am in India now and no longer willing to go to US.

3. My brother is a green card holder in US. He will sponsor for my studies. Does this have a positive or negative effect on my canadian study visa processing.

4. I am married now. I am applying for study permit just for me and I am not applying for my husband's dependent visa. Does this have a positive or negative effect.

Please help me..

hi
they wil ask some ques regarding ur edu u have to conveince them
and ur brother can sponser for u also there wil be no probs to u.u have to show relation doument for them.
yeh ur work will be aded advantage for ur profile.
ur from which city in india.
for which sem ur applying for ?

1. They may think as you switched ur status from Study visa to work visa, u would do same in Canada. Prepare an answer for such a doubt.
2. Experience would be an advantage if it is related to educational program in Canada.
3. Brother sponsoring appears fine.
4. If ur husband is in India, it may strenghen ur ties.

Well I would say try to be as honest as possible. If u reason for switching status makes sense there is no reason to hide anything.
