What do you mean. You are not converting a visa. You are applying for a study visa while a visitor. If your spouse is not a student or worker, then your application is processed from home country. You have a higher chance of refusal because you need to show ties to home country, career/education progression and funds but since you are in Canada visiting that may weaken your ties.
