So I am days away from sending my inland application and wondering if we get approved how long before my kids can get a study permit?

are you the applicant or the sponsor? are the children citizens or are they also going to be PR? There are many questions that your short question/statement do not help to answer.

The short quick easy answer is, if you are the applicant and your children are of school age, NOT university age, then your Canadian spouse (provided he/she is a citizen) can likely take the children and enroll them in public school without a study permit as most times they do not want the children to not get an education at all. There is no definitive answer on if this works or not, it seems to be split down the middle and rarely does anyone come back to give us results, which kind of sucks.

If you are actually talking about getting through the entire application process, and being approved, your children will no longer need permits to study.

No they're not PRs or citizens of Canada... they are aged 18 and 20 and I was wondering if they would have to wait till we get PR IF we get PR to continue their education... Sent the application in already...the waiting game

If they are both out of high school you can apply for study permits for them now, no need to wait but the fees will be those of foreign students. If you don't wish to pay those fees then wait for full pr.
