I am planning on going on an exchange to UBC Vancouver for one year, starting Sept 3rd 2019. But as far as I know I will most likely get a letter of acceptance not any earlier than July, maybe even as late as August. I need to apply for a study permit, but I've understood that the process can take up to six weeks, which means that it may be granted after my planned arrival in Canada. Therefore, I'm wondering:
- The study permit will include a Visa. But should I apply for a Visa separately now, in case I receive the study permit+Visa after I'm planning to enter Canada?
- What happens if the study permit isn't granted before the term starts?
