study permit with current work permit

Hi,

Do I need a study visa to attend an undergrad program with night classes while I am working full time on a temp work permit?

The program is divided into separate components and can be taken over time and is less than 6 moths.
Would this apply:

If you wish to study in a short-term course or program
You do not need a study permit if you plan to take a course or program in Canada that lasts six months or less. You must complete the course or program within the period authorized for your stay in Canada.

Would that complicate my current situation especially when I have to apply for my work permit extension by the end of the year?
