Oh wow, that definitely gives me hope , I’m trying so hard to get all the documents ready. My husbands company will give him a letter of leave AND will let him work remotely with good pay. My kids are 8 and 3 so they won’t need study permits.
I’m applying for a public institution (BCIT) in media since I hold bachelors in multimedia. Funds are okay and my dad will be paying my full tuition.
So I’m crossing my fingers and hoping and wishing.

Your children and husband will be visitors so there is no guarantee they can stay while you study. The border agent will decide how long they are allowed to stay on arrival. Then you will have to renew every 6 months with no guarantee that they can stay. That is why people apply for owp for their spouses or study visas for their children so they know they can stay.

You will have to list you family in your visa application so it will still factor into your visa approval because they will anticipate that your family will not be separated while you do your degree. Getting trvs earlier is not really fooling anyone.

Well, definitely not trying to fool anyone.. that’s for sure but we’ve booked tickets for SIGGRAPH (a huge event for 3D tech) and we want to get the visit visas out of the way first since study permits tend to take more time , I don’t want to keep my husband hanging.
I’m actually a bit nervous applying for SP right after visitor visas.

Your application will likely be reviewed like you had applied with your family. Others apply alone and then try and bring their family afterwards. If your student visa makes sense you have a decent chance. If you are applying for a masters or a PhD it is believable that someone might uproot their family and leave stable employment. Harder for some other degrees that would likely be available in someone's home country. Not sure how your husband's plans to work remotely will be interpreted because many people submit fake notes. The individuals reviewing the application aren't stupid and know people are trying to immigrate.

Trust me nothing is going to fake in our application, I just read through a thread about people getting banned for not declaring that they were previously denied a US visa ( well THAT freaked me out ) My husband will be able to work remotely but has to be in Dubai every now and then, so we won’t really be hot and bothered if he’s not granted an open work permit but I really want to study the program I picked so I’m trying to be super diligent.

I just want to be sure that if we apply as a family after being granted TRVs for a visit , my husband would be able to travel to the SIGGRAPH event while our application is processing.

Oh dear, I’m sorry about that.
Did you manage to apply with a good application though?
Yes it was good. I didn't hire a professional representative so may be couldn't explain to them. We do paperwork ourselves .and 2kis were also accompanying me. This time applying again through good lawyer in Ontario.
We all have TRV. And visited canada few months ago

Oh dear.. I’m a housewife too .
We’re doing our application ourselves.
Trying to get everything together but reading about refusals because of study gaps and unemployment, I’m not expecting to be granted a study permit.
