study permit validation

Hello.
I have stopped study for this semester in my previous university... I will start studying next april but the problem is that I have gotten informed that once I stopped studying, my study permit gets cancelled automatically.
I'm from ecuador and I don't know if I can apply for a study permit here.. and I am afraid that once I get back to Canada in april they won't let me in.
but my visa is valid till august 2018

Study permits are automatically canceled once you've dropped out of school for more than 90 days. You will need to apply for a new study permit before you return to Canada next April.

It's not clear if you are still in Canada or back in Ecuador now.

thank you. I'm in Ecuador but the problem is that I read that they make an exception for when is for mental and health reason that you weren't able to go back.
do you think if I have my doctor's note they will let me in and apply in Canada

Mental and health reason, that only if you were in canada and one of the known doctor had written a note that you were seriously ill

Hi email the embassy of bogotá they told me that at the port of entry to show proof of reason for my absence and my letter of enrolment and it shouldn't be a problem
