Study Permit status during waiting for program start

I am from Vancouver BC. I got accepted to full time program in fall 2017 at BCIT. But I am currently taking 3 courses with 9 credits at BCIT. But BCIT told me that I have to register 3 courses each semester even including summer to keep my student status . Is that true, cause I wanna have summer break before I go to full time study at BCIT in fall 2017.

After a few assumptions, you don't have to be full time during the summer. It is not an academic session and break can be taken. Your university cannot force you unless you have graduate by fall and have a few credits left to complete.
