Hello,

I'm a third-year student at an Ontario University, and my study permit expires this summer. Since my program is 4 years long and I have another year worth of coursework to complete, I applied for an extension. I received a rejection last month, and the rejection letter stated "Immigration Legislation requires that an application for a study permit be accompanied by a letter from a university, college or other institution accepting the applicant to attend or to take any course at that institution. The letter should be recently issued and should outline the
- type of course of study or program you are registered for,
- the start date and the expected completion date, and
- whether the program is full-time or part-time studies.
As you have not provided such evidence your application cannot be approved."
However, I have provided a document from my University that provides all these details. I've verified the same with my university upon getting the rejection, and they have said that they provided the right document, and there's no other documents that they can provide.
Upon the advise of my university's immigration service, I applied for a re-consideration. However, I just found out that my reconsideration was denied by ircc.
Is there anything else I can do before I reapply to ensure that my application does not get rejected again.

Sorry to hear your situation. I think there is communication gap with the new process whether within IRCC or to the public. There's nothing else you can do than to submit another application for extension. Alternatively, consult immigration lawyer.
