Study permit refused, no departure order, and I already left Canada.

Hi, I left Canada after my study permit was refused. There was no departure order issued as it was just a refusal letter. and then I left Canada, but now I am worry about one thing: should I contact CIC or they will know I already left through the airport?

What was the case exactly, were you trying to extend your study permit or were you on visit visa (tourist visa) or work permit?
