Study Permit Reapplication (Inside Canada) – Timeline After Changing DLI (July 2026
Please help me!
I am currently inside Canada. My study permit was approved for XYZ College in Toronto, but later I received an offer from YYZ College in Alberta. Because of that, I submitted a new study permit application to change my DLI.

Has anyone been in a similar situation while inside Canada? If you changed your DLI and received a new study permit approval, could you please share your timeline?

My classes start on August 28, and I'm worried about whether my new study permit will be approved before then.

Any recent experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Look at estimated processing for applying within Canada with a current valid study permit. You may not get approval by then. If not, you start studying in Toronto.
