Study permit - Judicial Review: granted

I request for Judicial Review for my denied student visa application and got granted last month wit Federal Court, Canada

My question is:

How long it takes to reassess my visa application after the Judicial Review Judgment.

If im not mistaken, the way it works is that you have to reapply again at the same embassy and your application will be assessed by a different agent since the first refusal was overthrown.

Did you have a lawyer who filed your federal court appeal on your behalf?

Yes.

My lawyer said his process is over until the federal court judgment which is expensive but we won the case.

The judicial review grant has mentioned that to reconsider the application with the different officer.

I don't know how long it takes to process the application by CIC.

I have to pay additional $ (I don't know how much) to my lawyer if I continue it after judgement for judicial review process.

So now, you have to do a new application and wait for the decision.
When i did mine in 2008, it took about 2 weeks to receive an answer.

Glad your case was approved by federal court, you have way more chance now of being accepted for the study permit, sometimes i dont know what some visa office agents think to be honest.

How long was the process for the judicial review? I have a case in judicial review atm and it does cost lots lf money sadly.

I applied 4 times with embassy for my student visa so I decided to contact a lawyer with the help of my relatives in Canada.

I deferred my program from summer 2014 to fall 2016. Now I am waiting for the outcome from my visa office/embassy.

It is more expensive to hire a lawyer for this application with the Federal Court but we won based on valid ground.

Good for you, I think your case will help me stay positive that I will finish my studies ( fourth year student waiting at home for 8 month to get my visa ! )
