I'm from Nigeria and will be obtaining my first degree from an korean university come June. I'm planning on forwarding my studies in Canada for the below reasons: korea is a homogenous nation while Nigeria is the opposite.
I planned on forwarding my studies in political science.

So with my little knowledge Canada is a multicultural nation just as my country, with this Canada have enough to offer me than korea when it comes to politics.

I would like to know the challenges that I might face during visa application for I planned on moving straight to Canada from south korea upon my graduation, as traveling back to Nigeria is kind of waste of resources when considering the fact that I recently made a trip to Nigeria during last Christmas holiday.
Please I need an advice on things to avoid during visa application.
Pls note:
I will be the one sponsoring my studies in Canada.

Given Canada having a sound educational system, there is more to offer in terms of grooming yourself in politics.

Before moving to Canada, if your previous studies isn't offered in English then you have to take the IELTS exams to prove your language proficiency or if your country's official language is English then you don't need it

Since you will be sponsoring yourself, its advisable you apply from Nigeria because you will be able to show home ties(family, financial assets or properties etc) which is also an important part of getting accepted

you should also be aware that Canada is an expensive place to study, and should be looking above/about +$25kcad(at least +$10kcad for living expenses for a year) depending on the province you intend to stay and study

Hi, I am new on this forum... i want to apply for student visa for Sep intake. Can anyone guide me and answers the following questions:
1- How to apply (is it through CIC online)
2- Medical upfront or after getting request?
3- Bio metric upfront or after getting request? Is it for main applicant or spouse open work permit too?
3- How much amount we need to show (1st Year Tuition Fee + CAD 10,000)?
4- What documents need to submit online at the time of submission i.e. Passport, photos, Bank statements etc
5- Is it good to apply for Spouse open Work permit at the same time)?
6- What documents needed for Spouse work permit?
7- .share with me any document which shows purpose of study and shows strong ties with Pakistan
8- Interview is compulsory or it depends on case to case basis?

kindly reply me.

Will be extremely difficult to get approved from South Korea because you must prove strong ties to Nigeria and that you will return after your studies.
