Hello,
I applied for student permit in 2019. However, my study permit was refused with a very generic note.
In GCMS notes the reason given by the visa officer is written below:
I note the applicant has already completed higher education and has work experience in the proposed field of study and as a result, I am not satisfied that applicant has not already achieved the benefits of the proposed program. I find it not unclear in the application before me why the applicant would study this program at such expense considering he already possesses qualifications. I am not satisfied that this is a reasonable progression of studies, which raises concerns regarding applicant's intended purpose in Canada. weighing the factors in the application, I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized for their stay.

My IELTS score is over 7.5 not less than 7 in any module. Adequate finance. I had applied for PG diploma in finance with two years of work experience from a Multi-National Bank. Majors in Economics from University of Delhi. No backlogs.
I will reapply in coming months with a new program (MBA). Can you please help me with every precaution that i should keep in mind before reapplying.

as a postscript to this, in my opinion my sop was not strong enough in the last file.

Thanks.

Thanks.
The visa officer is not convinced you will leave Canada based on your purpose of visit. You have to address that.

You didn't convince them that a PG diploma would add any value given you have a degree and work experience, should be a lot easier to convince them an MBA will add value.
