Proof of funds is cash in the bank with statements over past 4 months, not future income. With new rules, you show funds for first year tuition too.

from this page https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5552-applying-change-conditions-extend-your-stay-canada-student.html

it looks like spouses of work permit holders dont need to show financial proof when applying from within canada .

exerpts are
  1. Proof of financial support while you study in Canada:
    You must prove you have enough money (in Canadian funds) to support yourself while you study in Canada. This can include:
    1. a bank statement or a letter from a Canadian bank showing how much money you have in your bank account (must indicate your name and the account number);
    2. a copy of the letter giving the details about your scholarship or Canadian-funded educational program (such as a CIDA program);
    3. a letter from a person (describe the relationship to you) who is giving you financial help, explaining the arrangements made for your expenses. (This information is protected under the Privacy Act and cannot be released to a third party without your sponsor’s consent.)
  2. Persons and their family members whose refugee claim has been sent to the Refugee Division do not have to give proof of financial support.
    Family members of foreign students and temporary workers who need a study permit to attend primary or secondary school, do not need to show proof of financial support.

It's best to assume there will be no CEC specific draws. These are quite unlikely to resume.

Is your spouse's employer willing to go through the LMIA process?
She did not bring it up with them. It has just been an year since she was working there and these are not the type that might sponsor the LMIA. this is a big financial company in downtown.

Ah - got it. If it's one of the big banks, they will not go through the LMIA process unfortunately.

Note that #2 does not apply to you.

What is your CRS score? Is it in healthcare, STEM or trades? Have you considered learning French to increase scores?
CRS is 466 now but after spouse writes her English test it will be 480 in just about a week from now. I am primary applicant because I was a student and so more points, I am not eligible for any category based draws, I do not have foreign work experience neither does she. learning french and obtaining CLB 7 before october might not be possible. if we had more time, i would definitely pay to learn french, primary aim is to keep her job as she likes it.
