I am a first year international phd student at ubc. my course is for four years but due to my passport expiring in april 2014, i got a visa till march 2014. i applied for renewal as soon as i landed here which was in aug, 2013. I hope to get the passport back in the mid of oct, 2013. I want to start preparing for visa extension. What are the docs required, i know they are there on the site. But my query is regarding the show money. I have a scotia bank GIC of which i have used the first installment and about to receive the second. How much money do i need to show and what docs are required. Is it hard to get extensions.
