Hi!
While applying for an extension of study permit does one have to submit a new SOP explaining one's study plans?
Has anyone heard of anybody being denied an extension?

Also,in case an extension is denied, can one still apply for the PGWP that one is eligible for from the last course completed?

No need of SOP :P
Yes people get rejected too.

If you have legal status in Canada.
Then only you can apply for PGWP.

Thank you!!

Could you pls tell me some of the reasons for rejection that you have heard of?

& in case one receives a reply that one's been DENIED an extension AFTER the expiry date of the study permit, then the only option would be to leave the country right?
& there's no chance that a PGWP will be issued,if we apply after the above mentioned situation,am i right?

Yes you have to leave the country.

The only reason for rejection is not a genuine student.
Apply it asap.
Good Luck

One last question,is it possible to apply for TRV & study permit extension together in a single application? will CIC take more time if applied together?
or is it advisable to apply for them separately?

You can't apply TRV and permit extension together.
Please double-check it.

yes i think u can do it together if ur in canada and apply for extension of study permit online .

I think it's better to include a brief SOP so that you can show you would leave at the end of study.

Hi!
Have you applied for an extension? Did you submit an SOP along with it?
also, how long does it take for an extension to be approved?
