My name is Krishna Bhatt. Here are the full details of my case. My initial study permit was till November 2020. I extended it because I was not done studying yet, this extension got accepted and I got the extension till March 31st. But I failed in two of my courses, which is why I had to apply for an extension again till April when I would graduate and the 3 extra months. I applied for my extension again on 30th January but I forgot to attach the Verification of Enrollment letter I got from the college that showed my expected term completion date. Because of this it got refused. So now I am confused about what to do. Many of my friends said me that I should apply for restoration and study permit again with a new VOE letter from the college but I am scared if I do so the college will know that I cannot study and will not let me give my exams which are literally next week and they will push my graduation for another semester, which of course is the last thing I want. I am so confused and Scared. I will really appreciate if someone can help me.

As of March 31, you were out of status. According to the link,
"Foreign nationals applying for restoration have lost their status and may not continue to work or attend school until their status has been restored and a new work or study permit has been issued."

You can't study or work until you restore your status and reapply. Your friends were right.

Okay. What should I do then? Thank you

Request to restore temporary status as long as its within 90days after expiry of your original study permit. During this period, you cannot attend studies or work. Mostly likely your graduation will be pushed forward. If you resend application to extend before restoration, they will refuse as long as you are out of status.

On a separate note, i have come across where office will scrutinize application for pgwp after failed course on transcript, on presumption that failed course implying student were not fully committed to studies and were doing work over prescribed hours. Dont be suprised when they ask additional details when you apply your pgwp.
