Hello,
I submitted a study permit extension application in Canada on May 10, 2023. On July 8, I received a letter requesting additional documents, specifically the payment receipt for the $85 biometric fee. Following the instructions, I paid the fee online and uploaded the receipt to my CIC GC account. The deadline for submission was August 7, 2023.
As of today, November 30, I have not received any communication or feedback since uploading the receipt. I am concerned about the lack of response and wonder if I might have made an error in the document submission process. I planned to visit my family in Morocco in December, but I'm hesitant to leave if it could impact my ability to return.
I initiated the application process while in Canada. Can you provide guidance on whether the delay is typical and if there's any indication that I may have made a mistake in uploading the biometric fee receipt? I'm seeking advice on how to handle this situation and whether it's appropriate to reach out to immigration authorities for clarification.
