This is my first time posting here. So I hope I can get some help here.

I have a dilemma with my immigration process. When I arrived at the airport back in 2018 (YYZ) I got my study permit in which the officer 'forgot/i didn't ask' to add the line " May accept employment on or off-campus if meeting eligibility criteria..." Once I got out from immigration another guy checked my study permit and Co-Op and told me to go near the exit to get my SIN number. Then when I got my SIN number another person checked my documents and told me I will be getting a SIN number in order to work and to open a bank account. I also want to mention I was a full-time student in a 2-year program in a DLI.

I started working in October 2018 and in Jan 2020 when I was going to start my internship my school told me I needed to add that line to get paid work in Canada. So I panicked because I have been working without the permit for more than a year and a half. I then contacted IRCC and told them about it. They said I needed to amend my study permit. I did so, and I got my new study permit with the line added around March 2020. In June 2020 I applied for my PGWP and I got it 3 weeks after.

Now I'm writing to know if anyone knows someone who was in the same situation. Did they get the PR rejected? Will this affect my process? I am applying on the TR to PR pathway, is it a good option to add an LoE about why I worked? I know not knowing the law doesn't exempt me from it, but 2 guys checked my study permit and they also approved my SIN number which I can't have if I don't have that line.

Thank you so much for your help!

Sorry about your whole situation.
Since it wasn't mentioned in your study permit, your work did not respect the conditions stated in your study permit.

But again they approved changes/remarks. I dont think there will be issues with PR application, they make those mistake sometimes but the applicant is entitled to work as student with approved permit. Im not a lawyer but section 186 of IRPR is pretty clear, thats why they ammend by adding the remarks
