Hello great house!
I wish to sincerely appreciate you all for your useful advises.
I just received my study permit application accompanied with a study visa denied letter.
I was also advice to reapply if I meet the conditions as specified.

All reasons for denial are insufficient fund related, I have two sponsors;
my employer and my elder brother who resides in Canada, both have their sponsorship letters and
account statement accompanying my application.

Another reason was insufficient evidence to show the relationship between me and my sponsor.
My brother also included his Canadian passport showing that both of us bear the same surname,

Another reason was insufficient personal asset and financial status.

I wish to reapply, but my studies is to resume by sept., 2016.
What should I do? I need your candid advice.

Thanks in anticipation

Regards,
Nke.

How will your employer be supporting in terms of funding? Is your employer funding your education partially?
How much is your tuition? and what's the total balance you have shown available for your education (through bank statements etc)?

Showing matching surnames is not sufficient proof. Think of it from their perspective, there could be other people that share the same surname or distant relatives that share the same surname. One way to prove relationship between brothers is to provide a copy of your birth certificate and your brother's birth certificate. This way they can see that mother and father's name match, showing them that you are biological siblings.

They usually check for personal assets to ensure that you have ties with your home country that's why it's important to maybe show them property documents, maybe your parent's house for example.

You have just about 8 weeks till the fall semester usually start. Where are you applying from? How are the processing times in your region, will they be able to process it in 8 weeks or less?

can you share your timeline? Which date you applied?? And when did you get your refusal?

I have applied for differ to May 2017 Fall while I work towards meeting the required conditions.
I am optimistic that I will go through with the next application.
