Study permit approved seeking to bring in dependants

My sister recently got her study permit approved. She and her 2 kids do not need a visa to enter Canada. She did not apply to bring her kids in her application. She now wants to come with her kids and her husband who has a valid visit visa. How can she go about this?

Her spouse should apply for an SOWP. A TRV only allows him to stay up to 6 months and doesn’t allow him to work.

Can he do that at the 1st point of entry or should she get her study permit 1st and later go to the border to get his open work permit?

Where is he from? He may not qualify for a SOWP at the border. He should apply as soon as your sister has her permit.
