Study Permit approved. Need medical examination??

Hi everyone!

I got an email yesterday (May 5) from CIC instructing me to get a medical examination, so I booked for a doctor's appointment this coming Tuesday (May 10). When I checked my email this morning (May 6), I got another email from CIC saying that my application has been approved.

My question is, do I still have to undergo the medical examination or not? I tried calling CIC but I cannot get a hold of an agent.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm originally from the Philippines but I've been in Canada as a tourist since November 2015.
I applied for a study permit on April 1, 2016.

you don't need medical examination you have been more than six month in canada.
