Study permit approved but medical request pending?

Hi, I applied for my study permit within Canada. I received a request for a medical exam via the portal; however, after 2 days, my application status changed to Approved (!!).
Do I still need to do this medical exam?
Has anybody encountered this situation before? Any advice would be appreciated

IRCC has approved you based on the assumption you will complete the medical. Get the medical done. If you don't, this will come up as an issue later.

Thanks! Find it confusing as technically I didn’t need medical exam…
Will they send me study permit via mail now then? Or wait until after medical is done?
