I received offer letter from Seneca for Jan 2021 session and in the process of applying for my study permit. However, the VFS in my country (Bangladeh) is closed. So I have 2 following questions:

1) Will my application be processed in 2 stages or 1? In the website it says 2 stage applications are for applicants who submitted their application by September 15 and for Spring, Summer and Fall 2020 session only.

2) How will I provide my biometrics since the VFS is closed? Do I just wait until the VFS office opens in my country or is there any other way like travelling to other country to provide biometrics?

Is there anyone in a similar situation? I would really appreciate any help or information on this.

1) your application will be 1 stage (ie no AIP) because a- u are submitting after 15 sept b- u r applying for jan intake
2) your application will not be refused incase of missing documents (medical if u cannot give medical or biometric because centers are closed) so u can still submit incomplete application. Yes u can travel to another country to give biometrics.

Keep patience. One social group has raised an awareness to open VAC in Bangladesh. Let's hope to open soon. Remember, VAC, India also not open yet officially. Also, nothing could to be done in this situation except hope. Better, gather your documents and submit your application as soon as possible for winter intake. I also applied for SP and received the biometrics letter and waiting for the VAC opening. Hope for the best

Have you applied for the visa? I applied on the 1st of September, yet I think 2 stages are not going to be applicable for me. I am also worried about the VFS Bangladesh opening.

No I haven’t applied yet. I intend to apply on the 1st of November and waiting for VFS to open soon. I am worried my college will not give me access for jan online classes without stage 1 AIP.

Have you paid tuition fees of any sort?

Is biometrics being taken in India now? Any idea about it? Because I just saw a person saying he applied on 26th oct and gave his biometrics as well.

going to pay the first semester’s tuition soon. Where are you from? You paid yours right?
I am from Bangladesh same as you. And I paid my tuition and now I am regretting the decision. would suggest you to delay your payment and maybe deffer your semester to Fall 2021. Observe the situation. I don't suggest taking risks in this situation. But of course, you know best.

See my post to know my situation better: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...eads/study-permit-60-days-no-decision.708036/

Processing times aren’t accurate. Also in yesterday’s seminar of ircc they said that they have already started to process files for Jan 2021

yes they may not be accurate but these are indeed based on something. it is so frustrating just to keep waiting endlessly.
