My application is going 7mos
Im from Philippines but I aplied in Singapore

Jan 28 - Submitted application online
Jan 29 - Request for biometrics
Feb 13 - Completed Biometrics
Feb 27 - Received request for medical exam
March 27 - CIC informed me I passed medicals
April 3 - I received correspondence of biometrics
August 20 - 2nd Stage advancement

This debunks the theory of "holding refusals" as now we are seeing more pattern of approvals from old-timer applicants. It's a general rule of thumb that refusals follow immediately but in some very rare cases its the opposite.
