Hi, I applied for my work permit in May. After applying, I delivered a baby. Now I’m waiting for it to get approved because I urgently need to travel to my home country with my baby. Can anyone tell me how much more time it might take? Has anyone else who applied in May received approval yet

Processing times for work permits are very slow right now. Many people who applied in May are still waiting, so your situation is normal. In-Canada work permit applications often take 6–12 months depending on the type.
You can travel, but you may lose maintained status and will need a valid TRV to return. Your baby will also need proper travel documents. You can submit a webform to inform IRCC about the birth and request urgent processing, but approval is not guaranteed.
