Hello there,
for those who are going to study in quebec and want to apply for a study permit, and in case they are going to live in a relative home, first do u advise me to say that Im going to live in my aunt's home for example? isnt this might seem to the officer as if Im not going to study?!! and by all the ways do I need to provide the officer with a paper from my aunt stating that Im going to live in her house ??

Thank you

it is does not matter where you are going to live. What really matters is the acceptance letter from your institution. Verify also if you need CAQ (Certificate of acceptance of quebec).

Yes I do need CAQ.
Do u think it makes difference whether Im applying before getting my cAQ or after ?

Thank you

yes this is my question. But the canadian office of my country told me that I can apply for a study permit before getting my CAQ. However, eventhough, some people are advising me not to apply for the study permit before getting the CAQ. So Im somehow hesitated.

Now I understand.
You can apply for student Visa once you have the acceptance letter from your university or college. However, your visa will not be issued until they receive your CAQ. In quebec, they will send you the original CAQ and a copy by Fax to your visa office. At this moment your visa will be issued. This is exactly what happened with me. It is that easy. I applied before receiving CAQ to save some time.
Good Luck

Yes that's exactly what they have told me in the visa office.
I want to ask you, did they asked u if u gonna come back to ur country when u finish ur program of study? in case yes, how u answered this question? and how much money did u show them in ur bank statement ?
Thanks so much

I told them Yes I will come back to my country.
Second question: I have a different case from you as I am sponsored by someone.
