study permit and passport expiration

hello,
my passport will expire in one year (june 2015) from now and I want to go for one year study visa course will end in september 2015, is it ok to apply with this passport ? please tell me will this passport expiry date affect visa chances ?

I think this passport should work. One of my friends had a similar case when she had been to the UK and she got her passport renewed from London.

However, I am not too sure about this. Wait for some more advise from the seniors.

You need to get a new pp.
Its clearly stated on CIC website that passport should be valid for the time period of your study.

Incorrect. Your SP cannot be valid for longer than your current PP's validity.
