Study gap between Master's and PhD degree.

Is a study gap of two years between Master's and PhD degrees important? Do I need to explain that to the officer?

And will that affect my application if I was working during this period?

Are applying for a study permit to do you PhD in Canada?
If so, then no it has nothing to do with the decision. You also don't need to explain anything. Just mention any work you have done in these two years in the work history section of your application.

So, you mean PhD is different from other kind of studies such as B. Sc and M. Sc? cuz I've seen many people wondering about the gap between their studies.
