Studies impacted by COVID in 2020, impact on PGWP?

Hi guys,

I've been trying to find an answer for a long time, but nobody seems to be able to help. My Spring 2020 was a work term, but it got canceled by the college due to the pandemic and we were given a single Pass/Fail course to study. Will that impact my PGWP? No other semesters before and after Spring 2020 were impacted and everything else went well (full-time everywhere). I am doing a three years program at a college.

I think you should be fine because this situation was completely out of your control but I would definitely recommend including a letter from your school explaining these circumstances as part of your PGWP application.

Did you attach a letter from your school explaining the situation? Or did they mention this on your transcript? You have to wirte an explanation letter with a letter from college, otherwise how would they know it was because of pandemic situation!?

I am about to apply, and I got a letter from my school confirming it. I just want to make sure I won't face issues.

Write an explanation letter also. It is fine, since it Was out your hand and you have a letter from school confirming that. So, don't worry, it should be fine. You can call IRCC and ask the agents too.
