Studied during restoration

I studied during my restoration period,it was training for 5 weeks. My school told me i can attend ,i just need to give them whenever4 i have SP.
Meanwhile they allowed me. I didnt checked the rule from immigration till it is too late..now i have my completion stating i finished studies in restoration
.
So who's fault is bigger,mine or college's?
How can it be fixed? Should i sue my college?
i got 3 weeks left.
I wont get SP,WP extension.
Thankfully.

No, it was verbal talk with reception desk, but i do have their at the last moment email stating my module has been postponed, thats how i got late in applying for extension..and went on restoration.
Can this information be useful in explaining to authorities?
Or they just simply wont approve my WP. Can they give me penality?
