Hi
Can anybody help me regarding the following scenario.

I have my permanent immigration application already in process. In the mean time I want to get student visa as immigration will not be done by the time the classes start for the course. Can I apply for student visa while the application for immigration is also on preliminary stages.
What are the chances of acceptance for student visa in this scenario?

Thanks.

Yes, I got study visa for a Ph.D programme in Canada while my immigration application has been in process.
But mine is an old case of 2004 immigration and still in process. I have a good funding package for the Ph.D
programme. So I think they look at the degree that you plan to study for, a good university, financial support etc.
