Student visa university specific??

CIC can be notified regarding university change after student visa, does that mean that student VISA is not university specific?? :

But Study permit must be university specific. Is it so??

It not 100% true. Once you are admitted in a university and your visa is approved, Immigration officer issues you a study permit associated to the university. your visa is a not linked to a university, its your status in canada.

When or if you change schools after coming to Canada, you do not need to apply for a new visa or study permit however you must inform CIC about change of university.
