Student Visa Refused???

Hey Everyone,

I'm 19 years old and i got the acceptance letter from Seneca College, Canada. I payed the 1st year's tuition fees and also have enough fund to support my stay in Canada as well as my tuition.

30,000 CAD is sponsored by my parents and 70,000 CAD by a family friend (living in our country). My tuition fees is 44,000 CAD (according to the college). My food and accommodation are taken care by my fathers friend in Canada and the living expenses for 4 years roughly goes to 20,000 CAD. I have 100,000 CAD for my education still I've been refused.

I've submitted my application two weeks back and today i got my application back with a letter of refusal saying:

1) You have not satisfied me that you have adequate funds available to you to pay for your tuition and living expenses while in Canada and to return to your country of residence.

2) You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for your stay because I am not satisfied that you have sufficient ties to your country to ensure your departure from Canada and I'm not satisfied that you will be bona fide temporary resident of Canada.

I'm the only son for my parents and how come they can say that I won't com back to my country after finishing the course? Can someone please help me?

I think they haven't fully gone through my application. So what shall I do? Can I re-apply with more money in our bank account and stress on my come back in my personal statement or Is there are any way to appeal to the high commission?

man i had been rejected, after medical and then interview and she said me the program is available in pakistan why u like to go there.

Man i got the admission for a co-op program which is not available in most of the universities.. so thats why i am applying... but trust me i don't want to stay there in Canada... i like to come back to my own country and take care of my parents.

I only that there is co op program in canada you need to prove two things dont envolve ur father friend..


If he likes to help you out tell him he can put his all money in ur father bank account and just apply for ur father bank statement

What i did i gave my friend bank statement and plus my father so why she refused it cause here in pakistan we have cast system etc she might think he is my relative that is why?


You can need to prove them ur all family living here provide them everything, well there is no appeal system in the canadian embassy yep what u can do if u have proof then show them and leave up to God.

If you provide them proof they wont ask more questions, i provide them proof that my course is not available in pakistan

I printed all pakistani postgraduation program which pakistani university offer and what concordia and dalhousie offer.

When you next time apply for canada bring bible with you and put ur both hands on it that after school you will come back to canada what a fuck!!

This chiness visa officer is well known the refusing cases, i was 100% sure in the interview she will refused me even if i have a 1 core with me.

Please clarify... You submitted an application for a student visa and it took CIC two years to get back to you? There's something wrong there. Didn't you mean 2 months?

According to this site: http://www40.statcan.ca/l01/cst01/famil21a.htm , the median income after tax of a canadian family in 2006 was CAN 67,600. Basically you're saying your friend's father is giving/lending you a year's worth of income - it raises all sorts of red flags, you see?

Now, what does your friend's father do? This is just a suggestion, but if he owns a business, he could hire you, and then ship you off to Canada for training - in that case, not paid by your father's friend directly, but by his company.

His case was different, but i was rejected cause same program available in the canada it can't takes 2 months i applied in august and got rejection in 1st November takes a lot time.

Sorry for the mistake... its only 2 weeks. So what shall I do, when i re-apply? He is a businessman but the thing is my mom and dad helped him to develop his businesses. I've clearly mentioned it in the personal statement.

1) Anyways is there are any workarounds???
2) If we have enough money and showing my father's friend as a second sponsor will make the application stronger???

Hi,

I'm no specialist. When I went to Canada, I had 2 scholarships that covered all my costs. I don't know what you could/should do since your application has already been refused. I gues what you have to do is satisfy the visa-delivery person. So in case you decide to apply again, I suggest:

1) Show why studying at Seneca College gives you an edge when you go back to your country (for example, if there's an international ranking of schools in your field of study, you can use that to show you cannot get an education of similar quality in your country);

2) You have to show that you have the money. Have you submitted letters from your father's friends (the one who's giving/lending you money and the one who will be hosting you) together with your application, as well as their income statements? You have to look at it from the visa-people's perspective: it just sounds strange that a person not directly related to you would finance your studies;

3) As for returning to your country after your studies, that's the most subjective factor, and being the only son is not a good enough argument (for example: once you get there you could decide to settle and then bring your parents to Canada...)

4) To give you some perspective, it's very unusual that a Canadian would not work to pay for his/her studies, to say it in a different way, it's not common that parents would pay everything for their children's higher education, so it obviously looks strange to them that someone in Canada would be hosting you for free, and that someone in your home country would be paying for your expenses.

Oh yee... you are right... this time i'm going to show all the unique things about studying in Seneca and Canada... i am also trying to increase our bank balance... so yee... hope everything goes well.. I always trust god... thanks...
