My student visa was rejected twice due to short course at university of alberta.I applied from saudiarabia and there was other reasons like travel history, immigration status etc.
I am an Indian and have got admission in Saskatoon polytechnic for Diploma in food and nutrition management 2 yr course. As I am a graduate in M.sc foods and nutrition are there chances to get student visa?.I am going to apply from India.

hi dear. sorrybto hear your visa refusal. how did you apply here in ksa? thru vfs or directly to the embassy?

I don't fully understand the reason of rejection, was it because of the course or becauese of your travel history?

Hi,
I guessed that it was due to short course. But reason they mentioned was immigration status, travel history, financial document .I applied from Vfs

did they elaborate on the reasons? did you submit an sop?

what kind of financial docs did you submit? it means they were not convinced you can support yourself while studying there..

have you had visas from other countries before?

I think if you will strengthen your documentation even if you'll reapply here you again you have a chance.

My financial document was bank statement .But my purpose was different.actually I was invited for an interview in Dietitian college of Alberta to register as Dietitian. So I could go there only with student visa.so I got admission for short course in u of Alberta.I mentioned about dietitian college of Alberta interview in Sop ...so they would have thought I will not return back.
But if I apply from Sauduarabia it will be rejected so I am applying from India because immigration status ,travel history ,financial status questions won't appear. Now I have been admitted in Saskatoon polytechnic for diploma in food and nutrition management course. But here again I am already an M.sc graduate which may again lead to rejection

I see. Yeah, mentioning the interview surely have hurt your application...

I guess a fresh set of eyes in India can give you a better chance indeed.

How long did you wait for your outcome? Was there an interview or just submission of the documents? We are actually planning to lodge an application here in Saudi Arabia. I would really appreciate if you can answer my question.

Thanks very much.

I just submitted the documents to vfs and it took around 14 days .Vfs will send notice via email to collect the passport and documents.
Inshallah everything what Allah wills
