Student Visa processing time in London (UK)

Any idea, how much time Canadian High Commission London is taking currently to process the application? If the student is living in UK for more than a year, still he/ she needs medical certificate?

The website shows 8-10 weeks. A friend of mine told me 6 weeks. Anyone here with personal experience, please reply.

I applied from the UK. It took me almost 4 months to get the Letter of Introduction, but the summer period is always busy.
