i think ur confused......TRV and ur visa/student visa r the same......ur study permit is something different....so if u have valid visa / S1 visa/student visa /TRV what ever u call it then yes u can travel...to check for visa u check ur passport and study permit is a separate document dont get confused between study permit and a visa......having study permit valid does not mean ur visa is also valid.....

I have a similar rerquest please
I am a study permit holder to Canada. however after my entry i had to come back to my country after a month of entry at canada due to a personal reason at home..
my question is:
1) my Visa has multiple entry option. can i go back to canada to pursue my studies after 3 months being away from canada?
2) If i am going back to canada, should i produce all the financial documents at the entry immigration point?
3) I was previously issued a Study permit. should i request for a new study permit at the entry point if I had deferred my admission to january 2018 against my earlier offer for september 2017.
