Hi there,

i am permanent resident in montreal since a month and just got a job. (permanent contract)

it will be difficult for me to get back to my country to get married since just joined in that job and peek seasons, not easy to get flight to go and get back in 2 weeks.

My girlfriend has been working 6 yrs in pizza hut as cook and i wish her to apply for a cooking course as below link, so it will be same field as her job.
ithq.qc.ca/ecole/futurs-etudiants/programmes-detudes/programme/cuisine-professionnelle/

can i offer to be her sponsor with my job contract as guarantee, or my dad could sponsor as he has enough funds.

Is there probability that the student visa and temporary resident visa is refused to her ?? is it worth applying ??

admission is from 1st october 2012 to 1st november 2012, will have enough time for visa application and issue ??

thanks in advance,

waiting for your reply guys

Where is she applying from?

First of all, student visa applications are recommended to be submitted at least 2 months before the course start date, but there are variation depending on country of residence.

I think any or both of you and your father can be her sponsor, but you need a very strong reason, with a logical explanation in written to be her sponsor. She must include such an undertaking from her sponsor (if it's not her parents) with her application.

I am no expert but, in terms of Legality Being someone's girlfriend/boyfriend is no relationship, therefore its like a third person sponsoring which kind a makes no sense.
I would better suggest consult some professionals
Note- Good travel consultants wouldn't charge anything for the whole process also beware of crooks

Cheers! ;)

she will be applying from mauritius, i think it will take between 1-2 months.

ya , will need to see a professional for this.

but will i need to mention that i am her fiancee ? the visa officer will not think that she might stay after her studies with me ??

or i just mention she is someone close to the family or something like this ...
