Student Visa granted to students having a COLLEGE admission?!

Hi all,
I've heard that Canada won't grant student visa to students who have admission from college! or who applied for a certificate or diploma!! They only grant visa to those who have admission from a university, applied for a bachelor's or master's degree.

Is that true???!!!

What is important is that the learning institute is on the "designated learning institute" list. If you do some digging on cic website, you'll find it.

Sounds to me like the person who told you this is being paid by some universities to send students their way.
