Hello All,

I wanted to know some important information regarding the student permit application.
I am an Indian national currently on a student visa in USA. I have a Masters degree from USA and got an admission into a Masters program in a Canadian university. These are somethings that I wanted to know

1) Can I apply for student permit from USA or do I need to apply from India.
2) As i have been in USA for the last 1 year, do I need to take the medicals.
3) Should i show financial support from India or is it ok if i can show financial support from a cousin in USA.
4) In case I wanted to go to India after I get a student visa from USA, can I visit India and directly enter Canada on the student visa.

Any reply is really appreciated.

Thanks,
Robin

1) Can I apply for student permit from USA or do I need to apply from India. U will most probably need to apply from India but u can try and ask if u can apply from USA.
2) As i have been in USA for the last 1 year, do I need to take the medicals. Yes, u will still need new medicals regardless how long u have been in US, Canada is different from the USA
3) Should i show financial support from India or is it ok if i can show financial support from a cousin in USA. U will need to show financial support from yrself and not anyone else, so in this case, yr home country is India, so u need to show from India!
4) In case I wanted to go to India after I get a student visa from USA, can I visit India and directly enter Canada on the student visa. Yes, u can enter from India once u get a student visa from Canada to enter Canada.

Any reply is really appreciated.

Thanks,
Robin
