Student Visa and EE Profile

Hello experts

I have an express entry profile which is linked to Manitoba provincial nominee Skilled worker over seas program. I haven't got nomination yet. If I go to Manitoba on Student visa for PhD on scholarship/funding, will it affect my profile status?

Please guide
