Student permit

I am an international student studying diploma(2 years) in a private college at Vancouver. I have work permit till August 28th. I would like to apply for a diploma course in a public institution (for September 2020) in Canada. Please guide me what is the procedure to get a study permit or study permit extension. In application should I mention I am studying now in a private college.

1) You need to goto a school who will accept international students,
2) Enroll in one of the course you prefer to join, pay the fees and get an acceptance letter from the school
3) You can apply for new study permit extension from IRCC website.
