Can anyone help me understand the process/timing on my current situation? I am a U.S. Citizen with an offer to study in Alberta for Ph.D. The position is paid, aprox ~20,000 (maybe more), and tuition is covered by the University.
However, my wife is currently located outside of the US; she was on student visa here some time ago. I plan on applying for both of us to move to Canada for my studies. She will be looking for an open work permit.
Does anyone know how long this might take for both visas? What is the process? Should I just fill out the online process and wait for instructions?
Is it possible for her to file for a visitors visa and apply on arrival?
