I have decided to go for a 2 year post graduation diploma. However, I would also like to consider the one year program (I know I only get one year of work permit) because I was advised this: after one year of study, take up a job and get work experience, then apply for PR. In case the time is short, take up another semester/course and continue the process onshore. Even if I get pgwp only once, I will have a Canadian qualification plus Canadian work experience (of 1 year). Will this be a wise decision?
1. Yes - why?
2. No- Why?

I am asking why because I would like to make a well informed decision. Thanks!

Bad decision. It tends to be very difficult to get a full year of skilled work experience with only a 1 year PGWP. If your aim is to get PR, take a two year program so that you qualify for a three year PGWP.

That’s what I’m going to do. This is just something I am considering if I can make some sense of it. But as of now, I think I’ll stick with the plan. I’m eager to know if there is anyone who thinks otherwise.
Thanks for the help!
