Student application from Pakistan - No response :(

Hi,
I applied for visa on paper via VFS Karachi Office on September 06th, 2016. I linked my profile online as well and got updates regarding refusal on December 3rd, 2016.

I am yet to see any updates for my passport. Is it normal delay?

I need the passport badly as I have to travel abroad and time is ticking for me. I tried emailing Islamabad and Abudhabi Embassy along with specific case enquiry submission but no response. I tried VFS helpline too without any success.

One option for me is to apply for a duplicate passport urgently which I can get in 5-6 days. Is this approach okay? Any advice please?

Getting a duplicate passport, while another passport is in process, doesn't sound like a good idea.

I'd recommend visit vfs office Karachi, and I believe cases for Pakistani passports are processed in London? Try contacting them.

Or to the worst, postponed the trip as of now and pray for your passport's return. Otherwise, you'll jeopardize the exisiting case opened with Canada.

Did you find a way to withdraw your passport without withdrawing the application? I am also looking for such a solution as I need to travel abroad.
