Hi Guys,

I, CEC principal applicant, notified CIC by e-mail in January that I've ended my common-law relationship with my partner.
Yesterday I flew in airport but CBSA didn't let me land telling me I could not land with wrong information and supposed to wait for CIC to reply what to do.
Now I have to wait few days for CBSA to confirm with CIC about my situation.

I e-mailed CIC on various occasions before my application was finalized but never got any replied. I also read from IMM 5610E and all e-mails CIC sent me before that I "should notify" the change in personal circumstances but didn't mention anything about having to wait for further instructions.
For those reason I didn't know I had to wait.

Does anyone in the same spot as me before?
What are the chances I will not be able to land and return home?
If CBSA decided to reject my entry is there a way to appeal?

Been living in Canada for almost 10 years, didn't wanna end like this.
Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Was your common-law partner included in your application as a dependant and also issued a COPR document?

Dear zardoz,

Yes she was included and got hers: immigrant visa + COPR. they are with her.
In that case, I can understand why they refused to land you. As she is no longer a dependant of yours, she is ineligible to be landed. They will probably cancel her COPR and visa. As this may take time, you might expect a long wait while they sort it all out. Sorry...
